His Holiness Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji to visit Tirumala

His Holiness Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamijis visit to Tirumala

His Holiness Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji participated in the meeting of Matadhipathis from various parts of India, arranged by T.T.D. Devasthanam on 3rd and 4th February 2007 at Tirumala to work out strategies against conversion move by other religions.

Each and every Matadhipathi suggested measures to avert conversion move by other religion. The speakers mostly suggested measures for propagating our religion, like arranging Bhajans, Temple Poojas etc. and requested the TTD to sanction financial assistance.

His Holiness Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji suggested the following measures, which received huge support from the audience and other Matadhipathis.

  1. The TTD should construct a small Balaji Temple in each and every Dalit colony and arrange daily poojas and encourage participation by the Dalits in the area.
  2. The TTD should construct a community hall to enable the Dalit people perform small family functions and community functions in their area.
  3. The TTD should motivate the Dalit groups to perform Bhajans in their colonies like other caste Hindus. The TTD should organise necessary training through Bhagavatars in this regard.
  4. The TTD should motivate each big temple to adopt two or three small temples which experience want of funds to perform at least one kala pooja.
  5. Like Christians wearing a cross symbol in their neck, the TTD should supply black thread with Balaji Dollar to be worn by the Dalit youths.
  6. To alleviate this feeling among the Dalits that they are not treated equally with other caste Hindus, the TTD should arrange free darshan of Sri Balaji to the Dalits who come in groups like Dr.Ambedkar Peravai and Dr. Ambedkar Narpani Manram etc through VAIKUNDAM entrance without the group waiting in Q for a long time along with other public. This will create a feeling among the Dalits that they are also treated in the same manner like other caste Hindus.
  7. On the 4th February night His Holiness arranged a group of Dalits from Kizh-Tirupathi to visit Tirumala by two buses and also arranged free darshan of Balaji to the groups through Vaikundam entrance and also for free supply of Laddus.
