Shankara Jayanti Mahotsavam was celebrated at Shrimatam, Kanchipuram in the benign presence of His Holiness Pujyashri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji on 4 May 2014 . Veda Parayanam and Pujas were performed at the Adi Shankara Shrine in the Puja hall in Shrimatam. His Holiness visited the Kamakshi Ambal Temple and offered pujas at the Acharya Sannadhi. Traditional temple honours were accorded to His Holiness at the Sannadhi.

At Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya(SCSVMV University) campus in Enathur near Kanchi, puja was performed to the monolithic 100-feet statue of Sri Adi Shankaracharya in the benign presence of
His Holiness Pujyashri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji. Abhishekam, Archana, Alankaram and deeparadana were performed, accomanied with Vedic Chanting.
