Pujyashri Acharyal offers worship at Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Traditional Temple honours accorded

HH Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati #Shankaracharya Swamigal offered worship at the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, #Srirangam this morning (9 Nov. 2019) from 9.30 to 11.30 am. Pujyashri Acharyal was accorded traditional temple honours. Sri Ranganathaswamy was worshiped by Ikshvaku, and his dynasty including Sri #Rama, himself an avatara of Bhagavan #Vishnu.
The temple Bhattars and the Executive officer of the temple received His Holiness with Poornakumbham, temple umbrellas and other sevas. Pujyashri Acharyal offered worship at the Sri Ranganatha Swamy sannadhi where Sri Vishnu is in a reclining posture, Sri #Ranganayaki #Thayar Sannadhi, and the Swarna Vimana. The prasadams of Sri Ranganathaswamy and Sri Ranganayaki Thayar were given to His Holiness as per tradition. The temple Bhattars, officials and paricharakas were given sanmaan on behalf of #Shrimatam.
Legend says that Sri Ranganatha swami was the Kula Devata (Family deity) of the #Ikshvaku dynasty.
After the completion of the visit, Pujyashri Acharyal returned to Shrimatam camp at Jagadguru Vidyasthanam, Tiruvanaikaval to perform Sri Chandramouleeswara Swamy Puja.
