Vishwaroopa Yatra performed - Marking the conclusion of the Chaturmasya Vratam, Pujyashri Acharyal performed Vishwaroopa Yatra this evening (14 Sep.) from Aasthika Samajam to Gurukulam in Abhiramapuram, walking in a procession with devotees chanting shlokas and Jaya gosham. Pujyashri Acharyal visited the temples dotting the route. Devotees residing along the route offered Poornakumbham& Harati and sought Blessings. At Shankara Gurukulam, the Bhagavat Gita Parayanam was performed followed by Shri Krishna Puja. Thereafter, His Holiness blessed the gathering with Anugraha Bhashanam. His Holiness left for Ayodhya Mandapam in West Mambalam where Shrimatam camp will be upto 28 Sep.

The Viswaroopa Yatra is performed on the Bhadrapada Poornima (14 Sep this year), signifying the conclusion of the Chaturmasya Vratam – that begins with the Vyasa Pooja on the Ashada Poornima day. Yatra danam is performed after which, Pujyashri Acharya proceeds on the Vishvaroopa Yatra in a procession of devotees, dundubhi , and mangala vadyam. After crossing the perimeter, Lord Krishna is invoked with the Shloka Vasudeva sutam Devam, Kamsa Chanoora Mardanam I Devaki Paramanandam Krishnam Vande jagadgurum II and Sri Krishna Pooja is performed. After this, the XI Chapter of Srimad Bhagavad Gita is chanted, as per customs. Important verses are repeated by the assembled gathering. The puja concludes with deepa Aradhana for Lord Krishna.
