Vyasa Bharata, Veda, Aagama, Shilpa kalaathi Sadas - Cultural Conference was held at Tindivanam from 5-10 Jun. 2019 with the blessings and presence of Pujyashri Shankaracharya Swamigal.
It was a celebration of our culture and traditions which saw participation of the young, and old, students and stalwarts.
Engaging discussions by scholars on philosophies, languages, to cultural events like VIllupaatu, Bommalatam, Harikatha, the events covered the entire spectrum of our rich culture.
A preamble about the event:
Poojya Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Mahaswamigal, adorned the time honoured Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Kanchipuram in Tamilnadu, as the 68th Acharya and was admired by one and all as “Walking God” of our time. It is well known fact that He took many monumental efforts and visionary steps, to protect and preserve our TRADITIONS and CULTURE and to promote them over to the next generation intact.
One such great effort of Their Holiness Poojya Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Sankarachaarya Swamigal and Poojya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamigal was organising Vyasa Bharata, Veda, Aagama, Shilpa kalaathi Sadas in the year 1962. This historical first CULTURAL Conference was held in 1962 in Ilayathangudi , Sivaganga District with the participation of both National and International stalwarts in the field of Veda, Architects of Hindu Temples, epigraphists and connoisseurs of fine arts. In subsequent years also such kind of conferences were held.
Alas at present with the impact of western Culture even in interior villages our traditional arts, heritage and culture face the threat of becoming extinct. To clear such kind of apprehension and as a prelude to one more National and International SADAS or CULTURAL CONFERENCE, Jagadguru Poojya Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamigal, seventieth Peetadhipathi,of our great Matam has directed that a SADAS 2019 be organized in a humble way at District level in the Kamakoti Triveni Patasala, Shri Ram School, Omanthoor, near Thindivanam in Villupuram District. in ShriRam School campus (Thindivanam-Pondicherry National Highway) from 05/06/2019 to 10/06/2019.
It is the will and SANKALPAM of Poojya Sri Acharya Swamigal to conduct Vyasa Bharatha Veda, Agama, Shilpa, Art Satas(Hindu Religious Art and Cultural Festival-2019), wherein erudite scholars in the Vedas, Scholars in the SAIVISM,VAISHNAVAM, covering both the branches i.e. VAIKANASAM & PANCHARATHRAM, scholars in Siva agama, learned Vaishnavas, Experts of Temple sculpture, purohits, Scholars in astrology, Othuvaars, musicians, folk- artists and multifaceted personalities in the erstwhile district of SOUTH ARCOT covering the present districts of Cuddalore and Viluppuram and the Union Territory of PONDICHERRY.
We have arranged a schedule programme for the SADAS 2019 for 6 days followed by cultural programmes every day in the evening.

Note:
- From 05/06/2019 to 10/06/2019, there will be a special photo and book exhibition
- Two Ayurveda experts from Sri Jayendra Ayurvedic College would give consultation during Ayurvedic exhibition
- On the conclusion of Sadas on 10/06/2019, there would be procession of scholars, pandits, artists and others from Tindivanam Siva kovil , Lakshmi Narasimha kovil and would end with the Anugraha Bhashanam of His Holiness Poojya Acharya
- In the procession all artists-Rural, nadaswaram, karakam, kavadi, silambu games etc- would participate
- The trees which can be planted nearby temples and ponds, would be displayed and would be distributed
- For the participants, food arrangements would be made
