Veda Parayanam held at Swamimalai - June 2020

𝟓-𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢 & 𝐀𝐧𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐦
HH Sri Paramacharya's jayanthi was observed with great devotion on 5-6-2020. Given the travel and other restrictions on movements, a number of veda parayanams were performed by erudite scholars in seven different sessions.
The day began with the morning session parayanam
Achchidra Aschwametham (Yajur Vedam) parayanam by 4 Veda Vidwans.
Stipulated to be an uninterrupted uni-session rendering, parayanam of this section of Yajur
Vedam is significant that rendering, attending & supporting this bestows merit equivalent to
performing Aswamedha Yaagam.
In the evening, six sessions were performed.
first, Rig Veda Sookthangal parayanam by 5 Vidwans
& Anusha thri-veda parayanam by 22 Vidwans ( in 5 separate sessions)
Rig Vedam : 8 Vidwans
Krishna Yajur vedam : 5 Vidwans
Sukla Yajur Vedam : 3 Vidwans
Kauthama Sama vedam : 4 Vidwans
Jaimini Sama Vedam : 2 Vidwans
Total ..................................... : 22 Vidwans
5-6-2020 : Overall 31 Vidwans participated in parayanam.
All parayanams are intended towards universal
prosperity and well being. By the blessings of His Holiness Sri Paramachara, let us come out victorious against the ill-effects we face today.
