Pujya Shankaracharya Swamiji blesses and flags off Sri Rama Yantram yatra from Tirupati to Ayodhya

Jagadguru Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji blessed and flagged off the ‘Sri Rama Yantram’ yatra from Tirupati, the abode of Sri Venkateswara swami, to be consecrated in Ayodhya. At a programme held at Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Maha Paduka Mandapam on Sunday 27th Oct. 2024, Pujya Swamivaru offered his blessings and gave an Anugraha Bhashanam recalling the efforts that had gone into the Sri Rama Mandir nirmaanam at Ayodhya. The programme saw the participation of Vedic Scholars, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Joint Executive Officer Sri V. Veerabrahmam, Sri G. Bhanuprakash Reddy and other devotees.

The gold-plated Yantram, weighing 150 kg, has been modelled on the lines of an ancient yantram enshrined in a Math in Kanchipuram. Various mantras on Sri Rama and other deities are found embossed on the Yantram. The Yantram was brought from Kanchipuram to Tirupati and will proceed towards Ayodhya in a grand chariot procession, covering a distance of 2,000 km and passing through five States of India. The Yantram will be available for darshan at the ‘Sri Maha Narayana Divya Rudra Sahita Satha Sahasra Chandi Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagam’ to be performed by the Chinmayi Seva Trust at Karsevakpuram from November 18 to January 1, 2025.

It may be recalled that several offerings have been sent from Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam to Sri Ram Mandir, Ayodhya on various occasions in the past. The e-book Ayodhya & Kanchi - A divine connection highlights several important and historic aspects.
