Pujya Kanchi Shankaracharya Swamiji visited the Śrī Emoor Bhagavathi Temple at Kallekkulangara, Akathethara, Palakkad.
The Śrī Emoor Bhagavathi Temple is revered for its unique tradition of worshipping the sacred Svayambhū (self-manifested) Hands (Kara) of the Divine Mother, which are venerated as the visible manifestation of Her divine grace and protection.
His Holiness was accorded a traditional welcome by the temple Officials and devotees.
During the Darśan of Bhagavathi Amma, the priest explained the traditional account of the temple's origin, following which His Holiness made offerings of flowers and fruits to the Goddess. Pushpāñjali and Dīpārādhana were performed.
His Holiness then performed Pradakṣiṇā around the sanctum, observing the remaining portion of the sacred temple tank, traditionally believed to be the site from which the Divine Mother manifested.
Pujya Swamiji blessed the assembled devotees with Anugraha Bhāṣaṇam and distributed sacred Prasādams and prayed to the Goddess for the welfare and prosperity of Society.
