Navaratri Celebrations at Kamakshi temple -
His Holiness confers 'Aasthana Vidwan' titles


The Sharada Navaratri Mahotsavam commenced at Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Ambal Temple on 27 October 2011. At 7.30 pm in the evening, the cultural programme to be held during the Mahotsavam started in the presence of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji. An ensemble of artists comprising of vocalists and instrumentalists rendered devotional kritis. The title of 'Asthana Vidwan' of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam was conferred on senior artists. His Holiness blessed the gathering with Anugraha Bhashanam.
