As part of the Jayanthi celebrations of His Holiness Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji, Sankara Eye Hospital, Pammal organized a blood donation camp at the hospital premises on 13.07.2011.

Doctors & staff of the hospital, staff & teachers of Pammal Sri Sankara Vidyalaya and students & lecturers of Meenakshi Krishnan Polytechnic volunteered to donate blood. A team of doctors and staff of Rotary Central TTK VHS Blood Bank, Adyar collected around 110 units of the blood from the donors.
