Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetadhipati Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swamiji was accorded a reverential welcome with traditional temple honors at Sri Meenakshi Sundareswara Swami Temple, #Madurai.
The Temple priests and officials accompanied His Holiness through the magnificent Mantapams, adorned with intricate carvings and exquisite sculptures that bear testimony to the grandeur of the temple’s sacred architecture.
Pujya Swamigal offered special worship to Sri Meenakshi Ambal with prayers for the welfare, prosperity, and well-being of all.The Divine Mother was adorned with two gold pendants along with several other precious ornaments.
Pujya Swamigal subsequently performed Anushtanam near the Vinayakar Sannidhi, situated just outside the Sanctum Sanctorum, while devotees gathered in large numbers and immersed themselves in the chanting of Sri Lalita Sahasranamam.
Following the Deeparadhana, His Holiness was offered the traditional customary temple honours by the temple priests and authorities.
The temple officials then accompanied Pujya Swamiji to the temple Gajashala, where he blessed, fed, and observed the two elephants housed there. The priests and officials were subsequently honoured in the august presence of His Holiness.
