This Yagna is the centre point of the world.
4. யஜ்ஞத்தின் மூலம் ஆத்மிக பலம் வளரட்டும்.
Let the inner strength g row through Yagna.
5. ஓ அக்னியே கெட்டவர்களை என்னிடமிருந்து விலக்குவாயாக!
Oh Agni - seperate me from bad company.
6. ஒளிமயமான அக்னியை வளர்த்துக் கொண்டு நாம் நூறு வருஷங்கள் ஒளி பெறுவோமாக!
Let me live for hundred years rearing the bright Agni .
7. ஓ அக்னியே! யஜமானனுக்கு உணவையும், பலத்தையும் கொடு!
Oh Agni - give strength and food to the Master.
8. நெய்யினால் ஒளிர்கிற அக்னியே! இந்த யஜமானனை உயர்ந்த பதவிக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்!
Oh Agni - which is bright of ghee - lead the Master to high status.
9. தேவலோகமும், பூலோகமும் நெய் நிரம்பியதாகட்டும்!
Let this world and the heavenly world be full of ghee.
10. யஜ்ஞத்தால் கண் பார்வை மிளிரட்டும்!
Let the eye sight be perfect and bright through Yagna.
11. கார்ய நிர்வாஹ சக்தியும், பலமும் எனக்கு உண்டாகட்டும்.
Let the strength and ability to administer perfect be best owed on me.
12. அந்த பரமாத்மா உங்களை மிகச் சிறந்த கர்மாவான யஜ்ஞ்த்தைச் செய்ய அவகாசம் அளிக்கட்டும்.
Let the Paramathma grant me the oppurtunity to perform the Yagna, the grea test of the rites.
13. யஜ்ஞம் செய்வபவன் மனித இனத்தில் ஒளிமிக்கவனாய் பிரகாசிக்கறான்.
One who performs Yagna shines well in the humanity.
14. பெரிய விண்ணுலகும், பூவலகும் எங்கள் இந்த யஜ்ஞத்தைப் பயனுள்ளதாகச் செய்யட்டும்!
Let the heavenly world amd this world make this Yagna fruitful.
15. ஓ அக்னியே!யோகக்ஷேமம் நன்கு அமையப் பெற்று, தனதான்யங்களால் நாங்கள் மகிழ்ச்சி பெறுவோமாக!
Oh Agni - let us all feel happy in life with all the materials available to us and our welfare made perfect .
16. அறிவுடையோர், ஜலமும், சூர்யனும் சந்திக்குமிடத்தில் தியானத்தின் மூலமாக ஆத்ம தத்வம் பெறுகிறார்.
The learned get the inner realisation by meditation at the confluence of water and sun.
17. ஓ அக்னியே!அறிவுடையோர் புத்தி என்ற குகையில் இருக்கின்ற உன்னை பெற்றார்கள்.
Oh Agni. the wise people got you at the cave of intelect (Budhi) .
18. ஐந்து நதிகள் (ஐந்து அறிவுக்கரணங்கள்) தங்கள் கிளைகளுடன் சேர்ந்து ஸரஸ்வதீயை (புத்தியை) சேர்ந்து விடுகின்றன.
The five rivers (the five organs of knowledge ) with their branches, merge with saraswathi (intelect) .
19. ஓ ஜீவனே!நீ மனித படைப்புக்கு சுகம் விளைப்பவனாக ஆகு!
Oh Jiva - Let you be the giver of happiness to the human creation.
20. ஓ ஜீவனே! ஈஸ்வரனை நோக்கிய மனதுடன் தியானம் செய்!
Oh Jiva - turn your mind towards the almighty and meditate.
21. இந்த உடலாகிய தேர் புத்தி, ப்ராணன், அபானன் என்பவற்றால் சுமந்து செல்லப்படுகிறது.
The body chariot is driven by Buddhi, Prana and Apana.
22. அந்த ஓளி மிக்க பரமபுருஷனிடமிருந்து காலத் துளிகள் அனைத்தும் உண்டாயின.
Time came out of the bright and shining Paramapurusha.
23. ஜ்ஞானி எல்லா பிராணிகளிடத்தும் பரமாத்மாவைகாண்கிறான்; அதனால் அவனுக்கு எதிலும் சந்தேகமில்லை.
The wise see god in all living beings and hence has no doubts in any thing.
24. வியாபகனான அந்த ப்ரபு எல்லா பிராணிகளிடத்திலும் இரண்டறக் கலந்துள்ளார்.
The omni present lord is merged in all the living beings.
25. புத்தியென்ற குகையில் வீற்றிருக்கும் அந்த பரம்பொருளை அறிவுடையோரே கண்டறிவர்.
Only wise could find the Paramathma who is in the cave of Buddhi.
26. அவர் ஸ்தோத்ரம் செய்கின்ற நண்பர்களை-உபாஸகர்களை-காக்கின்றார்.
He protects those who praise and befriendly.
27. அந்த ஈசனே இப்புவலகையும் மேலுகையும் தாங்குகிறார்.
The almighty alone bears this world and the heavenly world.
28. உனது கண்களும், முகமும் எத்திசையிலும் உள்ளது.
Your eyes and face are on all sides.
29. அந்த ஆளும் கடவுளின் தோழமையை அனைத்து மக்களும் விரும்புகின்றனர்.
All people desire the friendship of the ruling god.
30. அவர் தேவர்களின் பல பெயர்களுடையவராயினும் ஒருவரே.
Even though he has the various name s of the Devas, he is only one.
31. நீர் எங்கள் தீய பாபங்களைப் போக்குவீராக.
Please absolve us from severe sins.
32. அவருது கருணையே அம்ருதமென்ற மோக்ஷம்; கருணையின்மையே மரணம்.
His compassion is the salvation called nectar,His noncompassion is the death.
33. அவர் ஆத்ம சக்தியையும் உடல் பலத்தையும் அளிக்கிறார்; அனைவரும் ஆணையை ஏற்கின்றனர்.
He grant s inner strength and physical strength for all who obey his order s.
34. எவர் பரம் பொருளை அறிந்து வைத்துள்ளனரோ அவருக்கு தேவர் வசப்படுகின்றனர்.
To one who has realised the Paramathma, all the Devas become friendly.
35. பரம் பொருளை அறிவதன்றி மோக்ஷத்திற்கு வேறு வழி இல்லை.
There is no other way to attain salvation without kno wing the Paramathma.
36. ஐஸ்வர்யம் மிக்கவரான ஈஸ்வரனே!உன்னைத் தவிர வேறு கருணையுள்ளவர் இல்லை.
Oh wealthy Eashwara. None is there who is compassionate like you.
37. ஸ்தோத்ரம் செய்யும் நாங்கள் வலிமை வேண்டி உன்னையே அழைக்கிறோம்.
We praise and invite you to get strength from you.
38. தத்வஞானிகள் கெட்டவர்களின் பழிச்சொல்லைப் பொறுத்துக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.
Philosophers do not care the defaming words of others.
39. அந்த கடவுள் எல்லார் உள்ளும் நிரம்பியுள்ளார்;வெளியிலும் பரவியுள்ளார்.
That God is prevailing in and out of all the living beings.
40. ஒன்றே தான் என்ற உண்மை அறிந்த பின் மோஹமேது, துக்கமேது?
When realised that there is only one, where is confusion or sor row ?
41. இந்த அனைத்துலகமும் நோயின்றியும், மனமகிழச்சி கொண்டு இருக்க வேண்டும்.
Let this world be without Disease and full of happiness.
42. இந்த மங்களகரமான வேதவார்த்தையை உலக மக்களுக்கு எடுத்துரைக்கிறேன்.
I give out this words of Veda which are auspicious to the people of the world.
43. இந்த யஜமானனுக்கு பிறக்கும் மகன் பண்பாடுள்ளவனாகவும் வீரனாகவும் இருக்கட்டுமே!
Let the Son born to this Master be of character and valour.
44. மரம், செடி, கொடிகள், காய் கனிகளுடன் மிளிர்ந்து உறைவதாக!
Let the trees, plants and creepers be full of fruits.
45. எங்கள் வேண்டுகோளுக்கு இசைந்து மேகம் மழை பொழிவதாக!
Let the clouds pour down rain conceeding to our prayers.
46. ஓ அன்னபதியே!எங்களுக்கு நோய் தடுப்பதும், வலிமை கொடுப்பதுமான உணவை ஈந்தருள்வாயாக!
O Lord of food - give us the food that would protect us from disease and give us strength.
47. எனக்கு விவசாயம் மூலமான உணவும், நல்ல மழையும் கிடைப்பதாக!
Let me get good food out of agriculture and good rain.
48. ஓ விவசாயிகளே! கலப்பையை கட்டுங்கள்; நுகத்தடியை பூட்டுங்கள்!
Oh agriculturists - put in to use the ploughs, yoke them.
49. ஓ பெண்ணே! உறுதியான எண்ணங்களுடன் முன்னேறுவாயாக!
Oh girl - proceed forward with strong thoughts.
50. (மனைவி) நெய் பால் முதலியவற்றோடு செழித்து, மக்களைப் பெற்று இங்கு மகிழ்ந்திடு!
you (Wife) be happy here with wealth of ghee and milk and bear good children.
51. மனைவி நற்செயல்களை பாதுகாக்கிறாள்!
The wife protects the good deeds.
52. (மனைவி) அமைதியாக இருந்து குடும்பத்தை தாங்குவாயாக!
You (wife) be calm and run the family with responsibility.
53. ஓ அக்னியே!பதி - பத்னியரை நல்லொழுக்கம் அன்பு கொண்டவராக்கச் செய்!
Oh Agni. make the couple (the husband and wife) of good character and affectionate.
54. தம்பதியர் அன்பு கணிந்தவராய், ஓளிமிக்கவராய் நல்லெண்ணம் கொண்டவராய் இருக்கக்கடவது!
The couple shall be of loving, prosperous, and good thinking.
55. நம் தாம்பத்ய வாழ்க்கை நூறு வருஷங்கள் வரை முறிவுபடாமல் தொடரட்டும்.
Let our married life continue for hundred years without break.
56. மற்றவரின் விருப்பம்போல் இசைந்திருக்கிற தம்பதிகள் பெரும் செல்வம் பெறுவர்.
The couples those adjust to the wish of others lead a prosperous life .
57. நமது அம்பு எப்போதும் வெற்றி பெறட்டும் நமது வீரர்கள் மேம்பட்டு விளங்கட்டும்
Let our arrows always succeed. Let our warriors reach exalted positions.
58. எங்கெங்கே நமக்கு குறைவு நேருமோ அங்கெல்லாம் அச்சமின்மையை அளித்திடிவீர்.
wherever we may get dishonour, let us be granted fearlessness.
59. நாம் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் நட்புறவு கொண்ட கண்ணுடன் பார்ப்போம்.
Let us each look at each other with friendly eyes.
60. எல்லா பிராணிகளும் என்னை நட்புக் கண்ணோடு காணட்டும்.
Let all living beings see me with friendly eyes.
61. ஓ அக்னியே!நீ உடலை காப்பவனாயிருக்கிறாய்;என் உடலைக் காப்பாயாக!
Oh Agni - you are the protector of this body : protect my body .
62. ஓ ஈசனே!நீ நண்பர்களாகிய எங்களுக்கு செல்வம், புத்தி இவற்றை கொடுத்து புஷ்டியடையச்செய்!
Oh Eashwara - you grant us the friends, good intellect and wealth and make us happy.
63. என்னிடம் புகழ் செல்வம் இடங்கொள்ளட்டும்.
Let fame and wealth stay with me.
64. நாம் நன்மை பயக்கும் திவ்ய ஞானத்தை எங்கள் விருப்பம் நிறைவேற பிரார்த்திக்கிறோம்.
We pray for the good result bearing intellect for the fullfilment of our desires.
65. எங்கள் மனித இனத்திற்கும், பிராணிகளுக்கும் சுபம் உண்டாகட்டும்.
Let there be prosperity for the mankind and animal kingdom.
66. தேவர்களே!காதுகளால் நல்லதையே கேட்போம்!
Oh Devas. Let us hear only good tidings.
67. நாம் கண்களால் நல்லவற்றையே காண்போம்.
Let us see only good sights.
68. இந்த உலகில் கர்மாக்களைச் செய்து கொண்டே நூறு வருஷங்கள் ஜீவத்திருக்க விரும்ப வேண்டும்.
One should wish to live for hundred years doing their duty .
69. உனது நாக்கு நெய்போல் இனிமையை உமிழட்டும்.
Let your tongue al way s spillout sweet things as ghee.
70. மனிதனை நல்ல செய்தியைச் சொல்லவே கடவுள் அனுப்பியுள்ளார்.
God has sent men to propagate good news.
71. ஹ்ருதயத்தைப் பிளக்கும்படி பேசுபவரை வருணன் வெறுக்கிறார்.
Varuna hates those who speak to heartbreak others.
72. விழித்துக் கொண்டோ, உறங்கிக்கொண்டோ செல்ல எங்கள் பாபத்தை சூர்யன் விலக்குவாராக!
Let Surya eliminate our sins done while wakeful and sleeping.
73. அக்னி தேவன் என்னை எல்லா பாபங்களிலிருந்தும், கஷ்டங்களிலிருந்து விடுபடச் செய்ய வேண்டுமே!
Agni should releive me from all sins and difficulties.
74. பசுவதை செய்யாதே;ஏனெனில், பசு அதிதி தேவதை, எங்கும் வியாபித்தது.
Do not kill cows. They are athithi Devathas and omni present.
75. நெய், பால் இவற்றை கொடுக்கும் பசுவை துன்புறுத்தாதே!
Do not torture cows which give milk and ghee.
76. ஊக்கத்தினால் ஸத்யரூபமான பிரம்மத்தையடையலாம்.
By your perseverance you will attain the Brahma which is the personification of truth .
77. உண்மை பேசுவோரின் உண்மைப் பேச்சு ஐஸ்வர்யத்தைக் கருதியே இருக்கட்டும்.
Let the speech of those who talk only truth , be for the prosperity.
78. ஓ அக்னியே உன்னை உபாஸிப்பவர் எப்போதும் துன்பமடைய வேண்டாம்.
Oh Agni, Let not those who worship you encounter any hardship.
79. யாகம் செய்பவரின் விருப்பங்கள் நிறைவேறடடும்.
Let the desires of the performer of Yaga be fulfilled.
80. அக்னி நம்மை பாபங்களிலிருந்தும் குற்றங்களிலிருந்தும் விலக்கி காக்கக்கட்டும்!
Let the Agni protect us releiving us from the sins and difficulties.
81. அக்னி ரூபயமான ஈசனே! ஐஸ்வர்யத்திற்காக எங்களை நல்வழியில் இட்டுச் செல்வாயாக!
Oh Esahwara in the form of Agni. Lead us in the right path for our prosperity.
82. ஓ அக்னியே! உனது பாதுகாப்பில் நாங்கள் எங்கள் விருப்பத்தை அடைவோமாக!
Oh Agni . Let us get our desires fulfilled under your protection.
83. ஓ அக்னியே எங்களுக்கு அன்னைத்தையும் பலத்தையும் கொடு.
Oh Agni. grant us the food and strength.
